Viking Nordic Warrior Toro

Viking Nordic Warrior Toro

Viking Nordic Warrior Toro 1600 900 Luca Cominelli

The Viking Nordic Warrior Toro is a cigar made by EPC at La Tabacalera Alianza, and it is a collaboration between Ernesto Perez Carrillo and Haakon Aanonsen. Haakon “Hawk” Aanonsen has worked in the cigar industry for almost 20 years, and he is the founder of the largest online cigar retailer in Norway.

Viking Nordic Warrior Toro 1

The cigar is dressed up in a Colorado leaf that is smooth to the touch. The cigars’ construction is excellent, and the filling is uniform and generous. The heads are finished with a pigtail. The band, as is the case for all Viking lines, is made out of metal.

Viking Nordic Warrior Toro 2

Viking Nordic Warrior Toro: the cold draw reveals rich scents of cocoa and leather. The opening brings a mix of roasted nuts to the palate.

The first third continues on the nutty flavor, accompanied now by leather and earth. There are also some light vegetal notes, and the strength is medium (3/5).

The second third adds some vegetal aromas to the flavor profile. The strength increases a little bit (3.5/5).

In the final third, roasted coffee beans alternate to earth and vegetal aroma, the latter richer in the last puffs. The strength doesn’t change.

Overall, the Viking Nordic Warrior Toro is a well-balanced cigar, from the first to the last puff. The flavor profile is not among the widest, but the aromas are balanced and structured.
