Tasting Notes PORT CHARLOTTE 10 YEARS HEAVILY PEATED

Nose: intense and peated. Egg and light citrus fruits, among which lemon stands out. Smoked, warm, with hints of grilled meat. Rich notes of black pepper and red pepper, then licorice and orange jam.

Palate: sweet first impact. Peat is not evident and the intensity grows slowly. Custard and citrus fruits follow, joined by lime and cedar. Black pepper, smokey flavors, licorice and bitter orange. Perfect intensity. Round.

Finish: of medium intensity and persistence. It reveals black pepper, sea breeze, citrus and spices.

The virtues of the Port Charlotte 10 Years Heavily Peated make it an excellent whisky, able to compete with the other islanders. A strong, round, decisive and refined character.
