Tasting notes MIYAGIKYO SINGLE MALT
Nose: reveals light notes of red fruits, followed by rich spicy notes of white pepper. Peat is also perceptible. Lastly, an intense marine flavor takes over in a vigorous fashion.
Palate: different spices, particularly black pepper. Then come cereal and malt. In between are hints of red fruits. Sweet. The alcoholic gradation is perfect and, despite a contained aromatic palette, results satisfying.
Finale: of medium persistency. Spices (black pepper) and honey are perceptible.
Despite its contained aromatic palette, this Japanese whisky is balanced and equipped with a well chosen alcoholic gradation. It isn’t a product for meditation and its youth is perceptible; nevertheless, it results fairly complex on the nose and explosive on the palate.
