Isthmus Central America Añejo Lancero

Isthmus Central America Añejo Lancero

Isthmus Central America Añejo Lancero 1600 900 Luca Cominelli

Isthmus Central America Añejo Lancero is a cigar produced in Nicaragua. Considering the size and emphasizing that it is a long filler (made with whole leaves and no tobacco clippings), it is sold at an attractive price, which is around € 6. Currently these cigars are mainly present in Europe.

The cigar is dressed in a smooth Colorado shaded wrapper. Some gaps are revealed to the touch, which highlight a not particularly even filling.

Isthmus Central America Añejo Lancero

Isthmus Central America Añejo Lancero: unlit, hints of seasoned wood. The opening confirms the seasoned wood and the cigar starts rather “dry”.

Isthmus Central America Añejo Lancero

In the first third, the seasoned wood remains the undisputed protagonist, to which, however, a spicy component of black pepper is added. The smoke remains fairly dry on the palate. Strength is slightly below medium (2.5/5).

In the central part, the seasoned wood remains present, now joined by rich peppery notes, where black pepper and a touch of hot spices stand out. Strength increases slightly, moving towards the medium level (3/5). The smoke remains dry.

There are no particular variations in the last part of the smoke, where the flavors and strength remain constant.

Overall, the Isthmus Central America Añejo Lancero releases a rather one dimensional smoke, with few changes. This aspect is quite relevant in a Lancero. Another not insignificant detail is the particularly dry smoke that this cigar releases.
