Ferio Tego Makes Debut With Pair of Limited Release Premium Cigars for 2021

Ferio Tego Makes Debut With Pair of Limited Release Premium Cigars for 2021 1600 900 Scott Sherer

Ferio Tego, LLC is a new brand to most cigar lovers. The brand is a premium cigar and accessories company launched in 2021 by Michael Herklots (former Vice President of Nat Sherman International, LLC) and Brendon Scott (former Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Nat Sherman, LLC). Ferio Tego is the Herklots family motto, found on the family’s coat of arms. While there are many interpretations and translations for this phrase, “Ferio Tego” loosely translates to “Strike and Defend.” Ferio Tego is their flagship brand of premium cigars. In addition to the Ferio Tego brand, the company also owns the Metropolitan, Timeless, and Epoca brands of premium cigars.  They also own Ancora accessories brand, all formerly owned and distributed by Nat Sherman International, LLC. Ferio Tego is distributed exclusively by Davidoff of Geneva, USA. Now that you know about them let’s get into their official launch, with two limited editions for 2021.

Both blends are offered in a 50 by 152mm (6′) Toro format. Cigars will come packed in custom 10-count travel humidors. The humidors are hand-made by Humidif Group’s Cigar Box Factory in Esteli, Nicaragua. Humidors come preloaded with the company’s “Gelly Humidity Control packs” to ensure the cigars are properly humidified for their customers. There are two different blends available.

Ferio Tego Elegancia

The 2021 Ferio Tego Elegancia is manufactured in Licey, Dominican Republic, with the Quesada family.  The blend features an Ecuadorian wrapper over a Dominican binder and fillers from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic.

Ferio Tego Generoso

The 2021 Ferio Tego Generoso is manufactured in Esteli, Nicaragua with the Plasencia family.  The blend features a Honduran shade-grown wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan fillers.

The initial offer for 2021 Ferio Tego is currently being sent to retailers at the time of this news story. Both the Elegancia and the Generoso will have an MSRP of $210 per 10-count humidor box. No exact release totals were given for either cigar, other than both are minimal production. The 2022 release is already in pre-production and will have more availability, but still a limited production. The cigars are expected to arrive in stores the first week of October 2021.
