Like every year, Diageo plans to market some bottles from its own distilleries. The Special Releases have become a staple for the beverage giant, even if substantial changes are expected, compared to the usual, for 2019.
The bottles will be eight, there will be no grain whisky or blend and the only concession to a closed distillery is Pittyvaich. No trace of Brora and Port Ellen, as happened in 2018, as Diageo intends to release something special for the reopening of the two cult distilleries, in 2020 and 2021. Details on gradation, number of bottles and price are missing and will be revealed later. The Special Releases will be available presumably after September 2019. Below is a list:
- Cardhu 14 Years Old
- Cragganmore 12 Years Old
- Dalwhinnie 30 Years Old
- Lagavulin 12 Years Old
- Mortlach 26 Years Old
- Pittyvaich 29 Years Old
- Talisker 15 Years Old
- The Singleton of Glen Ord 18 Years Old
