TASTING NOTES BUNNAHABHAIN 1989/2012 CADENHEAD’S
Nose: rather muted initially, after a few moments it releases hints of old paper and incense. Followed by wildflowers, chamomile, saffron and white pepper, all well blended and never pungent. A touch of yellow fruits, among which apple stands out, and cedar. Refined.
Palate: spicy tips of white pepper and cinnamon, followed by a fruity sweetness of apple and pear. It is slightly dry. The flavor profile is completed with nuances of wood and cocoa.
Finish: medium intensity. It reveals black pepper and cigar tobacco, flanked by ripe fruits and wood.
The age of this Bunnahabhain 1989/2012 Cadenhead’s has left some traces, especially on the palate, which is rather dry. Discrete intensity. A remarkable complexity on the nose.
