TASTING NOTES – BALVENIE THE WEEK OF PEAT 14yo

Nose

Intense notes of honey are supported by a veiled peat presence and smoked nuances. Vanilla is also perceptible.

Palate

It releases a mix of wood, honey, and vanilla, enriched with a touch of lemon zest. Peat is confirmed and remains light.

Finish

Persistence is average. Wood and vanilla are the main flavors, with a touch of peat.

Overall, the Balvenie The Week of The Peat 14yo is round and velvety, simple to appreciate, and with an average complexity. Balvenie’s character is still present in this product, atypical for the distillery, and the experiment is to be considered successful.
