Diplomaticos No. 2

Diplomaticos No. 2

Diplomaticos No. 2 1600 900 Luca Cominelli

The Diplomaticos No.2 is a Piramides size and the only cigar currently produced under the Diplomaticos brand. The sole survivor of the brand’s numbered series, subjected to a long series of discontinuations, which began in 2006 with the No.2 and No.3 and continued in 2010 with No.4 and No.5.

Diplomaticos No. 2

Usually, the cigars are dressed in Colorado or Colorado Maduro-colored wrappers. Almost always, however, they are smooth and without accentuated veins. Construction is good; also thanks to a lower production frequency as distribution is not extended to all global markets.

Diplomaticos No. 2

Diplomaticos Diplomaticos No. 2: woody notes and nuts, with hints of spice, are perceived in the cold draw. The opening reveals notes of hay.

Diplomaticos No. 2

Continuing in the smoke, aromas of cedarwood, hazelnut, and vanilla reach the palate. Strength is medium-light (2/5).

Cedarwood, toasted notes, and balsamic herbs alternate, followed by light white pepper nuances. Strength increases slightly (2.5/5).

The balsamic herbs become more pronounced and become the prominent flavor of this last third. Strength remains constant.

Overall, the Diplomaticos No.2 has a contained flavor intensity, and the complexity does not shine. The smoke is not dense, and something seems to be missing from the only Diplomaticos in regular production.
