Cuaba Divino 1600 900 Giuseppe Mitolo

The Cuaba brand was launched in 1996 with the specific intention of relaunching, under a single brand, the double figurado sizes, which in the pre-revolutionary period populated the standard portfolio of different Cuban brands. The Divino is the smallest of the brand’s sizes and its vitola de galera is Petit Bouquet. It is sold in 25-count boxes.

Cuaba Divinos

The Cuaba Divino presents a Colorado shaded wrapper. It is rather smooth to the touch, with light veins. The filling  of this size is varies in consistency: it is not unusual to find cigars with gaps. At the same time you can also find very full cigars, with inevitable draw issues. The latter, however, is rarer than the former. Those cigars tested showed a satisfying filling and an optimal draw.

Once lit and given a couple of minutes to burn (it is the size itself that requires it) the cigar is delicately said, but also bitter. It releases balsamic aromas, joined by pepper and wood. Strength is medium-full(4/5).

Almost halfway through the smoke, the cigar becomes even more sapid, while the bitterness remains unchanged. The wood becomes more pronounced and only a mineral note can stand up to it. This duo is followed by pepper. Strength becomes full(5/5).

Despite the size, the Cuaba Divinos is a smoke that must be approached with patience and a thread of experience, since the strength is no joke. However the balance between the strength and the flavors is always under control, thanks to a respectable flavor intensity.
