La Regenta is a line of cigars produced in the Canary islands. The company behind this line is Dos Santos and it was founded back in 1923.
The wrapper is of a Claro color. It is smooth, with almost no visibal veins present. Construction is good, same goes for the filling, althought weight-wise it is on the lighter side.

La Regenta Robusto: a sweet grassiness in the cold draw. Once lit, the opening starts with the same sweet grassiness perceptibel in the cold draw.
The first third sees the grassiness die down and a mix of leather and wood comes through. Strength is medium – light(2/5).
Earth is added to the mix, in the second third. There is also a note of red pepper appearing from time to time. The smoke is creamy. Strength remains unchanged (2/5).
The final third is a continuation of the previous two thirds, with the only change coming towards the end of the smoke, in form of hot spices. Strength stays the same.
Overall, the La Regenta Robusto is a balanced and creamy smoke. The few flavors it develops are well perceptible, but the cigar lacks evolution and depth. A good morning cigar.

Really a lovely smooth cigar, great quality! I paid €99 for a box of 25.
