Old Forester Statesman

Old Forester Statesman

Old Forester Statesman 1600 900 Luca Cominelli

The Old Forester Statesman is a bottling which owes its name to the film “Kingsman: The Golden Circle”. There have certainly been a few releases of whiskey inspired by particularly successful films recently and this is another example.

The peculiarity of this product is that it is aged in hand-selected barrels, which are kept in the hottest part of the storage warehouse. In Old Forester, they claim that this is the detail that gives this whiskey its unique characteristics.

TASTING NOTES OLD FORESTER STATESMAN

Nose

intense aromas of vanilla and citrus fruits, among which orange peel stands out, while oak wood is perceived in the background. Then fruity notes (apricot) and a touch of spices.

Palate

oak is the protagonist, enriched with caramelized orange and a touch of vanilla. A spicy component (pepper and cinnamon) is also perceptible.

Finish

medium-long persistence. It releases spices (black pepper), vegetable notes, oak wood and leather.

The Old Forester Statesman is a structured whiskey, with a finish that has a good persistence. Very balanced, it has a rather rich flavor profile, although not particularly broad.
