Ardbeg announced the return of the Supernova for the end of 2019. The Scottish distillery, located on the island of Islay, owned by the LVMH group, has decided to repropose a historic bottling after the 2015 edition, which at the time was hailed as the last of the series. CigarsLover has reviewed the 2009 edition in the past.
Ardbeg Supernova is usually the most peated whisky of the distillery, reaching about 100 parts per million of peat. The details in this case have not yet been announced, we only know that the bottle will be sold for members of the official Ardbeg fan club, the so-called Committee. Aged entirely in ex-bourbon barrels, with a bottle price around £ 140. Ardbeg Supernova 2019 is a NAS (a No Age Statement).
