The new Nostrano del Brenta product called Il Mercante di Venezia is already available for tobacconists to be ordered. Smokers will have to wait a little more, since the distribution is scheduled for the first days of October.
Il Mercante di Venezia will be a truncated cone shaped cigar, with a 90mm in length and 14mm in diameter at the foot. The cardboard boxes will contain four cigars and the retail price will be 7.50 euros.
The blend involves the use of top and medium level tobacco leaves from Nostrano del Brenta for the filling, aged for three years. These are wrapped in a Nostrano del Brenta binder, coming from the top level of the plant. The chosen wrapper is a Brazilian Havana. Once rolled, the cigars are aged for 6 months before hitting the shelfs.
