TASTING NOTES GLENDRONACH 15 REVIVAL 2018
Nose: fresh, slightly vegetal. The most traditional notes of the distillery come after a while. Red fruits (cherry, black cherry and plum), are joined by dried and candied fruit, mainly figs but also candied orange. Spices are light and there are hints of black pepper.
Palate: in line with what is perceived on the nose. It is round, with good complexity. The intensity is low. It delivers aromas of red fruits (cherry and strawberry), followed by spices, black pepper, and candied orange. The balance between sweet and dry is perfect.
Finish: medium persistence. Dark chocolate, bitter orange, black pepper and dried fruits are perceived. The intensity is pronounced.
The Glendronach 15 Revival 2018 is a good product. Fresh, complex and well balanced. Compared to the “old” Revival, you cannot taste the contribution of the barrels, it is not a sherry monster. It is gentle and easy to drink. Maybe some emotions are missing, but for the rest, is an excellent product.
