TASTING NOTES GLENROTHES 2006/2016
Nose: a young product, you can sense a strong malty note, which soon gives way to dried mushrooms. It also consists of berries, slightly sour, and dried fruits: raisins, dates, figs, not too sweet. Some spice: white pepper, saffron, cinnamon. Espresso coffee notes to complete the bouquet.
Palate: is delicate and immediately turns to spices, very intense, among which black pepper and cinnamon stand out the most. Then cocoa and coffee are revealed. Red fruit is perceptible, but in a very contained way, with hints of black cherry.
Finish: of long persistence and medium intensity. Black cherries, black pepper, coffee and dark chocolate are present.
The Glenrothes 2006 Wilson&Morgan is an easy product to drink, but it is not very complex. It didn’t captivate us on the noseExcellent intensity, excellent balance, definitely worth a try.
