Visually, the cigar presents a bright Colorado shaded wrapper. The overall construction, filling and draw, are great.
Hit & Run Corona: before lighting it, the cold draw delivers an excellent aromatic profile, made of rich notes of hazelnut and less pronounced aromas of wood and ripe fruits.
The opening is definitely sweet, with a light sapidity. Flavor-wise, the smoke expresses notes of wood and spices, as well as nuances of earth and peat. Strength is light (2/5).
Flavors carry into the second third and hints of coffee and cellulose are added. Spices and wood continue to be present. Strength remains unchanged (2/5).
In the last third, the combination of aromas is reversed. The sweetness decreases and the saltiness increases. The flavor profile shrinks and is now reduced to notes of cellulose, wood and hazelnut. Strength becomes medium-light (2.5/5).
Overall, this Hit & Run Corona impresses with a pronounced balance and an interesting aromatic expression. It is a product particularly suitable for morning smokes or for aficionados looking for a cigar capable of expressing a rich and satisfying flavor profile, without the strength becoming the protagonist.
