The wrapper is of a Colorado shade, that is smooth to the touch. Construction is perfect.
HVC La Rosa 520 Favoritos: black pepper and wood are presented in the cold draw. The first few puffs confirm the flavors found in the cold draw, black pepper and wood.
The first third continues with black pepper and wood. A nutty note joins the flavor profile as well. Strength is medium (3/5).
There is not much going on in the second third, in terms of flavors and strength. The only change is that the cigar becomes slightly creamier.
Black pepper, wood and nuts in the final third as well. Strength is still medium (3/5).
Overall, the HVC La Rosa 520 Favoritos is a cigar that can be smoked any time of the day. The simple, yet limited, flavor profile make it an easy smoke to enjoy. That being said, that same simplicity is its biggest draw back. The lack of change, or evolution, make it almost annoying to smoke. A mediocre cigar.
