Springbank is the most important distillery in Campbeltown. Its tradition is agricultural and the making of the whisky happens without technology to support production. The 18 years in question is a classic of the distillery that, from year to year, renews the overall positive opinion on Springbank products.

TASTING NOTES SPRINGBANK 18
Nose: the alcohol component is amalgamated and is almost not perceivable. The aromatic palette is made of fruity notes (apple and pear) and tobacco, the latter delicate but perceptible. After a while, milk chocolate is delivered as well.
Palate: at first, this Scotch exhibits rich spices, which introduce a wide aromatic palette: milk chocolate, coffee powder and ripe yellow fruit (pear, banana and pineapple). Smoky hints make their way to the finish.
Finale: long persistence and intense. Spices, cocoa and ginger are released.
Springbank is unique in all its forms and this 18 years is a step superior to the 15 yo bottling, under all aspects. The aromatic bouquet is easily identifiable and traceable to the brand.
