TASTING NOTES ARDBEG SUPERNOVA 2009

Nose: we mainly perceive the peat, along with a relevant smoky vein, almost irksome. by chemical notes of gasoline and a touch of saffron.

Palate: the mouth feel is salty, it is almost excessive. Soave medicinal notes and licorice are perceived, but the real protagonist is peat.

Finale: long persistence and very intense. The Ardbeg Supernova is a partially successful experiment. The remaining flavor profile is quite contained and is overwhelmed by the peated notes. The high gradation gives rise to a remarkable intensity.
