TASTING NOTES JOHNNIE WALKER BLENDER’S BATCH RED RYE FINISH

Nose: there are warm malt and red fruit (strawberry and black cherry) scents, that blends together to a spicy vein, close to the white pepper. There is also a vanilla smell, that get developed after a while. The whisky results easy but nice. To complete the aromatic palette, notes of baked apple and cinnamon get developed.

Palate: the first sip is a light one, with a contained intensity. The spices are still present, but now they are closer to the black pepper and paprika. There are some suave notes of yellow fruit as well (apple). Last, a strong malt aroma reaches the palate.

Finish: short persistence and medium intensity. There are vanilla, yellow fruits, black pepper and malt.

The nose is capable of tricking, due to an interesting aromatic palette. To the palata, the Johnnie Walker Blenders’ Batch Red Rye Finish shows a very limited aromatic intensity. A good product to be enjoyed in a cocktail than straight.
