Masaniello is one of the three Ammezzati from Amazon (together with the De Amicis and Il Professore), made with Italian Kentucky tobacco (cultivated at San Sepolcro and Pontecorvo, in Italy), and rolled in Tarapoto (Peru). For the Masaniello, in particular, they use the lighter tobaccos to obtain a mild smoke, that can be enjoyed at every hour of the day.
The cigar is rolled in a light brown colored wrapper, fairly shiny. It is well made and the filling appears to be generous as well, considering the small size of this product (75 mm in length).
Amazon Masaniello: the cold draw recalls flavors of dry fruits and wood, with a good intensity.
Once lit, the cigar presents itself rather sapid, without a minimum hint of bitterness. The developed aromas are referable to almonds and dry fruits, both well defined, and also to wood and earth. The strength is somewhere between mild to medium.
This Masaniello is an appreciable and widely enjoyable cigar. His strong points are its contained strength and fine aromatic character, which allows it to be smoke at every time of the day. Persistance, richness and evolution are insted not so remarkable.
